Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge International Shipped Stock Firmware Now Available

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for international versions with model numbers "SM-G920F" and "SM-G925F" shipped firmware is now available for grab. This is technically the stock firmware during the production of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in Samsung's factories. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge first Android smartphone to have 64-bit Snapdragon 810 that supports 4G LTE Advanced Cat 6. And 2K UHD display, 4GB RAM with 20 megapixel rear camera and the front 5 megapixel HD cameras smartphone. Yet both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices are on its way for shipping in various countries around the world, these firmwares are now held available in Samsung's firmware server to which we can actually see it using Kies software update utility tools.

While sneaking around we have found several variations of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware builds since the Galaxy S6 will arrive touting a brand-spanking new version of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and some new TouchWiz software features. On Samsung Galaxy S6 G920F we have seen three different build numbers such as G920FXXU1AOBN, G920FXXU1AOCV and G920FXXU1AOD4. While on the other hand the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925F we just found one firmware build floating around and dubbed with build number G925FXXU1AOCV.

AT&T Galaxy S5 Lollipop Update G900AUCU3BOC4 Finally Rolling!

The Lollipop update on AT&T's Galaxy S5 (SM-N900A) has finally rolling out! The latter is dubbed with build number G900AUCU3BOC4 and its based in-line with Android 5.0 Lollipop "LRX21T". AT&T may be may be one of the last US carrier that have had released the awaited Lollipop OS but its seem it still keep on the right track and scheduled time before the market-launch of the new AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920A) and Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925A). Noting that there was some minor bug issues surrounding the Android 5.0 Lollipop update but its the latest Android craze that everyone has been awaiting for.

All Samsung Galaxy S5 in the US alone is now almost completely covered with Android 5.0 Lollipop update. So from now on we might look forward and keep'ing an eye for an Android 5.0.1, Android 5.0.2 or maybe an Android 6.0 updates. Who knows?

Lollipop update Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport to G860PVPU1BOC5, brings Reactivation Lock

Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport SM-G860P gets its official Lollipop update that will bump up the software build version to G860PVPU1BOC5. The latter is base in Android 5.0 Lollipop which in-line with "LRX21T" series of firmware builds just like the ones found on the regular Verizon Galaxy S5 SM-G900P which also got its Lollipop update to build version G900PVPU1BOA6. Aside from Lollipop goodies, the update also brings the Reactivation lock feature that prevent others from activating the device if it's ever lost or stolen. This can be access in Apps>>Settings>>Security once the Lollipop update has made.

However, Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport had skipped the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update as we expected to happen but it wasn't. So the G860PVPU1BOC5 is a direct upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop from previous Android 4.4.2 KitKat build version G860PVPU1ANK2.

Samsung always advises us to prepare the following important notes to consider before performing the software update. I have also added some useful insights why you should follow this procedures to keep your phone in safe.

10 Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 useful Tips and Tricks You might have missed

Here are my top 10 picks on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 tips and tricks that you might wanna know about. Noting that the Galaxy S6 Edge has more to offer compared to the Galaxy S6 but technically more or less both devices are bearing the same features. Whilst some carrier branded Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 variants got their own pre-installed bloatwares.

I did not include navigating the default apps here, as I found it odd and you can easily find it in the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 user manual. 1. Camera quick launch

Double tap home button to launch the camera in under one second. Enable the double-tap quick launch in the camera options

When the double tap double-tap quick launch in the camera option is enable it causes small delay to the Home button. But if you want to get rid of it and you like to have a much more quicker home button then disable it. Disable the double-tap quick launch in the camera options.

3. Emergency Reboot

Very useful if your Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 is frozen and unresponsive. A situation where it suddenly hang-up and isn't responding at all. To do this just reboot the device by pressing and holding the Power key and the Volume key simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it.

4. Battery fast charging

One thing the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 have is the fast charging features but you cannot use the fast charging feature whilst the screen is turned on. There is some sort of smart switch that detects the device when the screen in on. The basic logic here is that whilst the screen is turned on it consumed more Battery power as it generates heat and so the charging drastically slows down. You must turn off the screen to increase the charging speed.

5. Easy way to take Selfie

10. Boost Speed

You can make your device with extra speed and bit faster by minimizing the animation scale. To adjust it, go to Developer Options and setting window animation scale, transition animation scale & animator duration scale all to 0.5.

US Cellular Galaxy S5 Lollipop Update v5.0 G900R4VXU1BOC1 Rolling

Samsung is now releasing the Lollipop update on US Cellular Galaxy S5. The Lollipop update is dubbed with build number G900R4VXU1BOC1, which is base in Android 5.0 (LRX21T) can be seen via Samsung Kies firmware server. Though, there are no any official announcement from Samsung nor US Cellular at this time being, it might start to roll out via Over-The-Air (OTA) update anytime soon. It seems that the device technically skipped the Android 4.4.4 KitKat as the G900R4VXU1BOC1 is already an Android version 5.0 that will directly upgrade from previous Android version 4.4.2 G900R4VXU1ANK1 that has been released in January.

Samsung's Official Lollipop Update G900FXXU1BOC7 Released in UK's Galaxy S5 G900F

It's still raining Lollipop updates on Samsung Galaxy S5, in today's update is the released build version G900FXXU1BOC7 5.0 which is now available in United Kingdom. I'm sure there might some severe issue and the latter might sort it out. But Samsung did not mention any important changes about the update and never was but there is a message that says "it brings an improved performance" when you do perform an update via Over-The-Air (OTA).

According to initial report the 'BOC7' update has nothing more to bring any adverse effect. Some reports we gathered that it minimize battery draining problem and other issue like the contact's constant FC's that has been found by some users on previous 5.0 update G900FXXU1BOB7. New Lollipop Update on Bell's Galaxy S5 to version 5.0 G900W8VLU1BOC1, Fixes Home button issue

We have posted about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update dubbed with build version G900W8VLU1BOB3 on all Canadian carriers Samsung Galaxy S5, including Bell, Rogers, Telus, Videotron, Koodo and WIND Mobile. Bell on the other hand had officially announced the update on their twitter page. Some users got the update but while some users did not seen it. According to Bell's support, it turned out that Samsung has recently halted and pulled the update after noticing an issue with the home button.

However, yet today there is another Lollipop update we recently spotted in Kies firmware server. It's dubbed with released build version number G900W8VLU1BOC1. The latter corresponds to Bell, Telus and Kodoo's Galaxy S5, and there is nothing yet on Rogers and other Canadian carriers. The update is going to replace the previously pulled out G900W8VLU1BOB3 and then might also resolves the issue found in the home button.

Galaxy S5 G900FXXU1BOB7 5.0 Lollipop Update, Silent mode is back

A new Lollipop software update version G900FXXU1BOB7 is hitting on Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F once again. The G900FXXU1BOB7 is still in Android 5.0 Lollipop base next to the previous G900FXXU1BOA3 . The latter has just rolled out in United Kingdom at this moment but the firmware build itself also indicates a 'multi CSC' that also points to other countries in Europe. So chances are that the rest of Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F users might also get this update soon.

Since we already seen the Android 5.0 in action so there is nothing to expect any major changes about this update. But some significant adverse effect I noticed about the G900FXXU1BOB7 is that the "Silent mode" feature has returned back. On previous updates we knew that the "Silent mode" was removed but now you can see it again in status bar. I also noticed that the screen brightness seem also reduced at around 10% level which is a bit dimmer than before even I set it up to 100%. I can't see any improvements in battery life performance as it's still fresh but I'm still monitoring it on a different usage.

Furthermore, the G900FXXU1BOB7 Lollipop update weights 323.39MB in file size. It is held both available via Over-The-Air and Kies but then again can only be seen in UK at this moment. I'll just keep you updated if and when it also arrives in some countries.
