AT&T Galaxy Note 5 OTA Update N920AUCU2AOJ1, Adds Gear VR and Android for Work support

AT&T has just send out an update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920A). The update will come as build number N920AUCU2AOJ1, to which the latter brings an additional support for the Gear virtual reality features and the Android for Work. The update is also added with some enhancements for the Samsung keyboard, and an updated security enhancements. While the rest are general bug fixes and improvements to the device performance.

In addition, this update is still base in Android 5.1.1 and the 3rd OTA update ever rolled out on AT&T's Galaxy Note 5.  But, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow might also follow  next month, as Samsung itself already confirmed that this device will also get an Android M treatment.

This update is available via either Firmware Over the Air (OTA) , and the size of the download will be roughly 119MB. The released may take in stages so not everybody will be able to get the update at the same time. So better check the update manually if you haven't received the update's notification message yet. Just hit on your device Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for updates.

How to Update your Galaxy Note 5 via Over The Air (OTA Update)

The Over The Air (OTA) update requires you to connect your Galaxy Note 5 to a Wi-Fi network to ease your burden on high data charges.

• From the device Home screen, simply tap Apps.
• Tap the Settings (gear icon).
• Tap the System tab.
• Tap About device.
• Tap Software update.
• Tap Check for updates.
• Tap the Install button, then OK.

If the update is available, it will just prompt you the update’s technical details including on how to download and install it. If somehow the update isn’t available yet, it will also tells you that that your device software is up to date. However, even if the update is already rolled out and you’ve already knew that it is officially released in your country and or network provider, you should always consider that the delivery of the update usually takes place into stages and may also take days before it arrives on some areas. So you may have to wait and keep on checking until you see the update.
