Over 1,000 apps for Samsung’s Gear smartwatches now available in app store

Smarwatches are at the trending hype today and Samsung is not the one who wants to be left behind in the race. Having released three smartwatches in just a year, Samsung diligently tops the chart in the smartwatches arena. In relation to this, the company has been giving huge attention on making apps for their Gear smartwatches. In fact, it has recently released an infographic that itemizes more than 1000 apps including the top 5 apps on the app store. With these apps, Samsung encourages the users to explore and customize the apps on their smartwatches in order for them to do multitasking and at the same time have some dose of entertainment.


It is still not yet clear if Samsung will open smartwatches to devices from other manufacturers even if it leads to more app accession and wider range of connection. If it does, it will relatively come to a point when Samsung’s Android Wear smartwatches will no longer utilize its Tizen-based smartwatches, based on the notable number of apps that users can gain access to.

Samsung teases public with new patent exposing foldable smartphone display

Several years ago, man is still unaware of how fast a certain device will evolve in a given period of time, much more and specifically, the way it is displayed and used. Now, the rapid upgrades and innovation is really inevitable for man to handle since almost every day, he faces updates and new technologies, giving him more opportunities than he can ever imagine.



Two of the contributors of this constant and rapid change are Samsung and LG whom we recall have just revealed devices with curved displays last year. And already Samsung has taken actions to make this a reality. Recently, the US Patent and Trademark Office published a patent application from Samsung stating that the said manufacturer is at present working on a display that will more or less fold if desired without the fear of damaging the display.

With this news in mind, spectators definitely expect more of what this device can do. And in response, Samsung teases the public with its future smartphones featuring display that can be folded either backward or forward based in the patent provided. It enables the device to perform more convenient tasks like calendar and alarm clock displays that only foldable smartphones can execute.

However, the fact that Samsung is already working on the perfection of foldable phones doesn't imply that we can see foldable smartphones on display soon. Nobody knows besides Samsung itself when these devices will be out in the market. Samsung to unveil Metal-covered Samsung Galaxy Alpha on the Fourth of August

It is only in a couple of days before Samsung will introduce the rumored smartphone that is more or less metal. Reported today, the said manufacturer will reveal the 4.8-inch Samsung Galaxy Alpha this coming August 4 and is expected to hit the market immediately after the anticipated announcement.

As what Samsung users hoped for, the Android device projects a unique display that comes with a metal chassis. Said to be a scaled down GS5, Alpha is envisaged to exhibit a 4.8-inch 1280x720 pixel AMOLED display, LTE-Advanced connectivity, 32GB of storage and a fingerprint sensor.

Moving ahead, Samsung is set to expose at the IFA conference in Berlin the fourth generation Galaxy Note in September. The 5.7-inch Note 4 boasts a notable feature “a three sided display so messages can be read from an angle,” according to a Samsung exec.

As we saw last week, the iPhone 6 is already afraid to competitors and analysts would be different manufacturers ready to wait at the gate the new iPhone with the latest generation of products with the aim of countering the dominance of the smartphone business from Apple.

But the news that circulates in these hours on the net is already sparking a series of discussions, nurturing curiosity: the South Korean news agency ETNews, in fact, did you know that Samsung Electronics would be willing to release a new smartphone early as next month , anticipating Apple and trying to erode the market further bitten apple.
